It had been a few years since I'd picked up a book most would label as "Christian Romance," so I wasn't sure what to expect when a friend of mine recommended the author Karen Kingsbury. I was delightfully surprised! This book has an actual plot, and even though--of course--there's a guy and girl in it, there are other characters that have plenty of "stage time." There are real-life issues dealt with in the story, including siblings with Down Syndrome, past relationship disappointments, and parents who only want the best for their children but come across as controlling. This is definitely an inspirational read and I highly recommend it.
